Business Analyst

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. This position is essential to support and backfill our existing BA team, especially as one of our BAs is going through personal challenges and may take leave. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to interface effectively with business teams, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision. This role involves supporting multiple areas, not just one, with a potential for contract-to-hire after about a year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary Focus:
  • Support and maintain the Parts and Service App, a SaaS vendor product with a mobile component. This includes managing service manuals and parts availability through the application.
  • Additional Areas:
  • Backend ERP system support for the U.S. and Canada.
  • Support for the mobile service application used by technicians.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors for the implementation of a new Product CMS system and publishing platform.
  • Implementation and Development:
  • Involvement in both implementation and collaboration with third-party or direct software development teams.
  • Support custom and purchased software solutions.
  • Interface with Business:
  • Act as the primary interface between the business and technical teams.
  • Handle a significant amount of documentation (artifacts) and ensure proper user acceptance testing (UAT) for parts and service applications.
  • Technical Tools:
  • Utilize JIRA and Surwell (helpdesk application) for ticket management.
  • Work with standard office applications (Word, Excel) and ensure no SQL involvement.
  • Use "Product Board," a tool with a Gantt chart view, for project management, roadmapping, and status reporting.
  • Project Environment:
  • Operate within a traditional Waterfall environment, with some aspects leaning towards an Agile approach (WAGILE/Fragile).
  • Engage with vendor scrum boards, ensuring flexibility in project management.
  • Challenges:
  • Address potential issues with infrastructure and laptop availability.
